FRASER, Mich. (WXYZ) - The 7 Action Sports team caught up with members of the Punchkick! Hockey League (PKHL), who are hosting a unique event on Friday, March 27 in Fraser.

Individuals from the PKHL preview the big event.

"Friday here at our home ice, Fraser Hockeyland, we'll be playing a charity hockey game versus the Patriots hockey team of Southern California," Jason Mills, the PKHL president, said.

"The funds will benefit the Semper Fi fund, which is for soldiers, sailors [and] marines returning home from the battle field, and [The Barbara Ann] Karmanos Cancer Institute locally here in Michigan."

"Everyone comes from different backgrounds," said Justin Mills, the PKHL commissioner. "We've got policeman; we've got firemen, [Emergency Medical Training Services] EMTS, engineers, plumbers, industrial designers, and we all come together on Wednesday nights to play hockey, because it's a passion of ours. It's something we all share together.

"When we got the call from Patriots [hockey team] we're really excited to get on the ice and play against them. $10 fee at the door for tickets. Puck drops at 7 p.m."

"Every week we're out here for more than hockey," said Jason Mills. "Our leagues all about camaraderie, sportsmanship and pure love of the game. We're hoping to have a good game; a good competitive game, but a good bunch of camaraderie with the Patriots as well. Thank you. Welcome to our home ice."
